From a systemic viewpoint, the five or more different variables identified by Diamond (a.o., nonsustainable exploitation of resources, friends and hostiles, inappropriate attitudes) each influence to a certain degree the amount of ecocidal stress prevalent within a certain society. As soon as the maximally tolerable amount of ecocidal stress for the respective society is reached, quick systemic deregulation (pollution, genocides, wars, famines, etc.)ensues. <br /><br />Concerning our times, men's aggressiveness expressed, for example, by means of political, economic, and military measures is nowadays rather more effective globally than ever before, because presently societies thoroughly interindepedent.
